Your diagnostic work stays on your device.
DTC Workflow is designed by Lucky7Apps for automotive technicians. Profiles, diagnostic notes, and saved workflows remain in the app's local storage. The app uses Google AdMob to display ads and Google's User Messaging Platform to manage applicable consent choices.
Effective date: September 10, 2026
1. Information handled by the app
DTC Workflow allows a user to enter information that may include:
- A device-local profile name and email address.
- A device-local password, stored only as a salted one-way password hash.
- Vehicle descriptions, repair-order or job numbers, DTC selections, diagnostic notes, test results, conclusions, and saved workflows.
This diagnostic and profile information is created and used locally within the app. Lucky7Apps does not receive, transmit, or store it on company servers.
2. How device-local information is used
Device-local information is used only to sign a user into a local profile, separate workflows belonging to different profiles on the same device, save diagnostic work, and reopen previously saved workflows. Lucky7Apps does not use diagnostic records or profile details for advertising, profiling, analytics, marketing, or automated decisions.
3. Advertising and Google services
DTC Workflow uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display app-open and banner advertisements. The test release uses Google's official demonstration ad units. Before ads are requested, Google's User Messaging Platform checks whether a consent message is required and displays it when applicable. Users can also open Ad privacy choices from the app's profile screen.
Depending on the user's consent choices, device settings, region, and Google's configuration, Google advertising services may process information such as the device's advertising identifier, IP address, app interactions, ad performance data, and diagnostic information. This data is handled by Google and is not combined with the technician's locally saved workflows, notes, password, or vehicle information by DTC Workflow.
Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy and Google's explanation of how information is used from apps that use its services.
4. Sharing and third parties
Lucky7Apps does not sell user information. Information needed to provide and measure ads may be processed by Google as described above. If a user chooses to print, save, or share a PDF through Android, that user-directed action is handled by the selected Android system service or third-party app and is governed by that service's privacy policy.
5. Device permissions and network access
DTC Workflow does not request access to precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, call logs, SMS, or broad device storage. Network access is used to load advertisements, obtain applicable consent settings, and open user-selected external links. On supported Android versions, the app declares the Advertising ID permission for Google Mobile Ads.
6. Security
Profile and diagnostic data is kept within Android's application storage and is subject to the device's operating-system protections. Device-local passwords are processed using PBKDF2 with a unique random salt and are not stored as plain text. No method of local storage can be guaranteed completely secure; users should protect their devices with an appropriate screen lock and keep Android up to date.
7. Retention and deletion
Profile information and diagnostic records remain on the device until the user deletes them. A user can delete a profile from within DTC Workflow by opening the profile screen, selecting Delete account, typing DELETE, and confirming. This permanently removes that profile and its associated drafts, notes, and saved workflows from the device.
Uninstalling DTC Workflow or clearing its app storage also removes locally stored profiles and data. Lucky7Apps cannot remotely retrieve, restore, or delete these records because it does not store them on a server. Advertising information handled by Google is subject to Google's retention and deletion practices.
8. Children's privacy
DTC Workflow is a professional automotive diagnostic reference and is not directed to children under 13. Lucky7Apps does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app configures its advertising SDK as not child-directed.
9. Changes to this policy
Lucky7Apps may update this policy when the app's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published. Google Play Data safety disclosures will be kept consistent with the app's actual behavior and this policy.
